Viracopos International Airport (VCP), auctioned in 2012, is the second most important airport in Brazil in the cargo sector. In 2019, it handled more than 53.4 thousand tons on domestic flights and 200.5 thousand tons on international flights. The airport is essential in the dynamics of the country's economy, as a catalyst for the development of Campinas and its surroundings.
In 2019, the Viracopos International Airport carried more than 9.7 million passengers on domestic flights and 966 thousand passengers on international flights. The enterprise was qualified in the PPI portfolio at the 13th meeting of the PPI Council, through Resolution No. 123, of 6/10/2020.
