PPI is pleased to announce the publication of two more notices for Port Terminals on June 15th. Both ports are qualified projects  in the Investment Partnerships Program (PPI).

The investments, which add up to approximately R$ 260 million, will increase the capacity of handling liquid bulk and general cargo (wood chip) to Santos/SP and Santana/AP Ports, respectively.

"Santos liquid bulk terminal alone will add about R$ 200 million in investments to move fuels and chemical products - one of the most dynamic and competitive segments of Brazil's largest and most relevant port," said Diogo Piloni, PPI's port director.

"Undoubtedly it's so far one of the most important launches of PPI for the port sector, thanks to the joint efforts of the Ministry, Regulatory Agency and EPL," he added.
The public sale will be held on September 28th , at B3, São Paulo. In the same session, the auction of the LPG Terminal, called BEL 06, of “Companhia Docas do Pará” will be carried out.

Project’s details

Wood Chip Terminal Concession, Santana Port, State of Amapá - MCP 01

It’s a Brownfield terminal for handling of general cargo (wood chips) in the port of Santana/AP. The area consists of a large yard, where the chip is stacked and stored, in addition to a conveyor system by a transportation belt. The terminal receives the chip from a processing unit located in an adjacent terminal area. This plant receives the wood logs by road, produces the chip and dispatches directly into the terminal's storage area.

The area has a dock access and it is 200m long and 12m deep. It is planned to replace existing equipment (treadmill and shiploader), as they are not reversible. The investments planned amount totals R$ 61 million. The estimated terminal's dynamic capacity reaches 1 million tons/year. The criterion of the auction will be the highest grant value and the contractual term, 25 years, extendable up to 70 years, according to the current legislation.

Liquid Bulk Terminal Concession, Santos Port, State of São Paulo - STS 13

The STS 13 site is a brownfield area within the “Porto Organizado de Santos / SP”, on Barnabé island, focused on liquid bulk. The area is characterized as a mixed-use storage facility with 99 pressurized tanks for chemicals, ethanol and oil derivatives. It has storage structures connected to the existing pier of two berths, at a distance of approximately 700 meters, through two pipeline corridors, with each storage tank having pipelines directed to the truck supply platforms.

The estimated terminal storage capacity is around 97.720m³ and its area of 54.221sqm with connection to the highway and quay. Investment amounts to approximately R $ 198.0 million with tank replacement. The auction criterion will be the highest grant value and the contractual term, 25 years, extendable up to 70 years, according to the current legislation.
