This Thursday (26), the PPI / Casa Civil presented its project portfolio to two groups of investors, in the Planalto Palace, in Brasilia.

In the morning, PPI Special Secretary Martha Seillier and the Secretary for the Promotion and Support of Partnerships between Federative Entities Wesley Callegari met with Qatari Ambassador to Brazil and representatives of Qatar Investment Authority and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Qatar. Means of expanding Qatari infrastructure investments in Brazil were discussed at the various opportunities in the program portfolio.

Qatari government representatives expressed a keen interest in PPI's current project portfolio, particularly in the ports, renewable energy, and national park concessions sectors.

In the afternoon, Martha Seillier met with representatives of Veolia, one of the world's largest companies in complete water cycle management (water/waste treatment/energy use). The company's CEO in Brazil, Pedro Prádanos, presented an overview of Veolia's performance in Brazil and around the world and highlighted the interest in doubling its participation in the Brazilian Sanitation sector over the next five years.

Secretary Martha reiterated the importance of the expected results concerning the new Legal Framework and the sector's PPPs. “In the end, what we want from the new universal sanitation plan is full coverage coupled with the provision of quality service,” she said.
