The Public Fishery Terminal of Aracaju is located in front of the Municipal Market, in downtown Aracaju, capital of the state of Sergipe. The Brazilian federal government has already invested approximately BRL 14,376,700 (unadjusted amount) in the project. The civil works are in the final stage of execution (90% have been completed), in harmony with the contract signed in 2008 between the Special Secretariat of Aquaculture and Fishery (which currently responds to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply - MAPA) and the Sergipe State Secretariat for Agriculture and Rural Development (SEAGRI). The contract is still in execution, and the transfer of BRL 7,906,724.09 by the Union is still pending.
The PFT was designed to serve as a warehouse for the reception, processing and trading of fish, comprising: a wharf, an ice factory, a fish reception and sorting unit, a fish processing unit, a fish storage and conservation unit (cold rooms), a wholesale marketing unit for fishery products, changing and resting rooms, an administrative unit and a cafeteria, an effluent treatment station, a truck yard and a vehicle parking.
Potential activities to be provided: loading activities, fish unloading, fish / bait storage, processing, support for vessels (ice, water barge, fuel oil, electricity), support for fishermen (basic services inherent to the use of facilities).
The concession term will be 20 years.
The project has been qualified in the PPI portfolio at the 13th meeting of the PPI Council, through Resolution 128/2020.
Assessments in progress.
